As they say in the movies: The End.
After a year of carefully selecting clips and writing heart-felt, usually accurate captions, Intense Guys is calling it a day. Thanks to all of the regulars who have shared our enthusiasm for these movie moments: the wild and the wonderful, and the obvious and obscure. And thanks to two of our earliest supporters—and guest Intense Guys—Tom Charity and Phil Campbell.
We’ve done this long enough to realize that we’ve only just begun. There are enough great clips of favorite actors, death scenes, spoiler-tagged endings—and 14 other categories—to keep Intense Guys intense for years to come. But for now, at least, the projector spins to a stop.

Wow, was not expecting this when I checked the site today; and by happenstance I didn't check it til later than usual today. Just wanted to say I loved seeing what you all chose as each day's movie and how it was categorized. Each clip shown introduced me to another actor, director, or film, and motivated me to watch something I might otherwise not. Thanks and I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open in case there's ever a return.

Thanks for the words—sounds like you enjoyed the site as much as we enjoyed publishing it. I think we'll return down the line, but for now we're going to let this year's worth of entries stand while we recharge our clip engines.

WTF? Quitting? Aw, that is just too bad. Can't blame you, I guess, as this site must be tremendously time-consuming. Yet I'm still totally bummed out. It's hard to find quality sites that keep the focus on the, you know, ART, instead of the wacky/snarky persona of the bloggers talking about the art...Also, I still have yet to receive my Guest Intense Guys T-shirt. Now I suspect I will never get it!
